A bird drifting on the breeze, the calm surface of a puddle, the slowly fading rays of sunlight...

In the middle of life's craziness, these simple things remain.

If we could take our minds off of what task the next moment holds and grasp these images of stillness that exist around us, what would that do to our lives?

If we could learn to take a breath each morning before plunging into our perfectly scheduled days, how much easier would it be to breathe?

I've had the words "be still" on my wrist for 4 days now, and I must admit that I haven't changed the way I had hoped.

These words are a challenge, a challenge to give up on living with a hectic schedule and write it off as just the way things go, a challenge to grasp those moments of stillness and simplicity and be refreshed.

That's my challenge, my goal, my hope.

    not easy to do.
Society kind of dictates that life is hectic.
I know what you're talking about. Kind of like the paper bag floating in the breeze in American Beauty... Like there's a simple, yet so complex way of the world, an unexplainable beauty, I guess.
There's a beauty in the simple things. I like that.
