One Question for God

One Question for God

I think Russell is completely justified on this one. Not to put God down, but He doesn't exactly make Himself too easy to see/hear/hear/understand.

I had a conversation with a friend recently and he would agree with Russell, saying "God cannot exist because there is no evidence." Honestly, I feel like He and I stand in the exact same spot. The only difference is faith. With faith, I am able to look beyond the lack of direct evidence, without faith he is not.
He stands on this earth wearing a blindfold, I stand on the earth slowly learning to undo my blindfold.

Do you ever get that sense of some existence just beyond the boundary of our perception?

For me, It usually comes through music. I hear melodies in my head, but no words accompany the music. Where words would normally flow, I sense something greater that would fill the space and bring the song into completion. I can't explain this to you, as I said it is some existence beyond what I can imagine.

It also occurs to me through emotions. I sometimes have this idea of a great joy that could only be expressed through a form of worship that, once again, is just barely beyond what I know.

These experiences only continue to add to my awareness of God's existence. I feel as if He has laid these little clues in my life so that I will remain in awe of Him and never forget about His existence outside of our perception.

"If you loved someone, you loved him, and when you had nothing else to give, you still gave him love. When the last of the chocolate was gone, his mother had clasped the child in her arms. It was no use, it changed nothing, it did not produce more chocolate, it did not avert the child's death or her own; but it seemed natural to her to do it. The refugee woman in the boat had also covered the little boy with her arm, which was no more use against the bullets than a sheet of paper. The terrible thing that the party had done was to persuade you that mere impulses, mere feelings, were of no account..."

I like this, but on my forearm and with different words.

But when I stop staring at the distance I have to go and look up,
I see you.

There's so much distance between you and me.
Sometimes I get worried you aren't there...

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
